Linux kernel version 2.6.28 is now available

With the advent of version 2.6.28 of the Linux kernel for Christmas, Linux community members/users have received a gift of consistent size: more than ten million lines of code.
This OS version provides significant improvements in the management of graphics processors, memory and discs. Of particular note is the integration of ext4 file system, successor to ext3. All promise huge gains in performance. Like with any update, it comes surrounded by a bunch of improved drivers.
